If you’ve been shopping just about anywhere lately, you’ve probably noticed back to school supplies in the isles. It’s no surprise that summer is quickly coming to an end and planning for the new school year is a must. It can be hard to pick items your child needs, or might need, since it’s been a while since you’ve been in their shoes. But there is hope! I have some checklists and deals you’ll want to scoop up to gets the kids prepared for classes.

Let Your Kids Express Their Style

Let’s start with what every child needs – this is the easy part. They all need a backpack, lunch bag (if not having school provided lunches) and a water bottle. You’ll want to purchase high-quality bags because these items will get lots of wear and tear. Kids also want the ability to express their style and pick products that they enjoy wearing.  JanSport has so many different designs and colors and any child can find something they will love. It’s also great for parents’ pockets, it doesn’t come with a hefty price tag but has all the space for your child’s belongings. When looking for a lunch bag for your child, you should consider what they like to eat and how large the bag needs to be. Check out the top 20 lunch bags for 2017 here.

Now that the necessities are out of the way, time to tackle the supplies list. Each school usually sends out an email or posts what each grade level will need to bring to class. If you like to shop for your deals with your kids, try things on and pick them out in store, Walmart always has the lowest prices on items. Check out specifics online first to make sure they have all the necessities and compare your list. Stick to your list of back to school supplies to save money, it’s easy to walk in there to get 4 items, and walk out with 40! Also, this year, I found out Groupon has deals as well. The last consideration for before school are awesome new outfits and accessories! Something every child looks forward to. Do this closer to the big date.
